\\ About \\
StaticGrainMag exists to amplify the signal in the noise. We are visual storytellers documenting local artists, live performances, and events. We are dedicated to capturing the raw, unscripted pulse of the music scene. We believe every artist has a story that transcends their setlist ... our mission is to find it, frame it, and present it in a way that reflects how their audience feels in the moment.

Eric Booth, Sr. Editor for Static Grain Magazine is an avid photographer and videographer for the music industry in the Austin area. He shoots documentary-style live event coverage for artists and nonprofits with sharp focus on weaving together the stories of those who create and support local performing arts. He is an active Americana / folk musician and recording studio engineer as a part of the Barton Hollow Collective (www.bartonhollowcollective.com).
Eric is from the Texas Panhandle where he grew up mostly in rural systems for foster-involved and unhoused youth and this experience influences his work and art to this day, particularly his work with nonprofits focused on supporting these populations.
